Playing Outside

Brynlee loves to be outside. Anytime she is really grouchy, I take her outside and she is happy again. She really loves to play at the park and there are lots of parks in walking distance from our house. Every once in a while dad will go to the park with us and he gets right in there and swings with Brynlee and climbs on all of the equipment with her.

Brynlee loves to go on walks in her stroller. Most of the time Brynlee and I go to the park with our friends. Brynlee loves to have other babies to play with and I love have people to walk with.

There are several parks around Rexburg that Brynlee has fun playing at. She loves the slide and could spend all day in the swing. One of the parks we like to go has a water park that Brynlee has fun in. She loves the water. The only bad part is that Brynlee is really unhappy when we have to come back inside.

One Busy Girl

Brynlee loves to climb on the couch.

Then she goes wild. She jumps up there and has the best time.

Brynlee also loves to get stuff out of the fridge. Here she is eating some cold corn. YUM

She likes to play in the laundry basket and take all of the clean clothes all around the house.

She likes to climb in the bathtub and play with her toys.

She likes shoes.

And she loves to be outside.

She is one busy girl and I sure do love her.

Popsicles

Joel loves popsicles. He could eat a whole bag in one night. Brynlee obviously takes after her dad because she loves them too. If you are eating a popsicle she will sit right on your lap and take huge bites. The first time Brynlee had a popsicle she kept saying "Hot, Hot, Hot" then she would blow on it. Here are some pictures of Brynlee sharing a popsicle with her dad.

4th of July

This 4th of July was a lot of fun. Last year Brynlee was only three weeks old on the 4th of July so we were excited for her to be able to participate more in the activities. We spent the day in Idaho Falls watching the parade and the fireworks. Brynlee loved the parade. Especially getting all of the candy. She was waving at everyone, clapping her hands, and trying to open all of her candy so she could eat it.

After the parade we went and ate some lunch and then we went home so Brynlee could take a nap. Joel and Brynlee both took a nap in the middle of the living room floor.

Then we drove back to Idaho Falls for the fireworks display. Brynlee was entranced by all of the people and especially the dogs. We had a hard time getting her to sit still. Joel and I took turns walking around with her. Once the fireworks started, Brynlee just stared. She started pointing and saying "Ahhh." She cuddled right up in her dad's arms and could have stayed there all night. It was a really neat fireworks display. We left a little before they were over so we could make it home before there was a ton of traffic. It was a really fun night and I am glad we went. Brynlee loved it.

Last Weeekend

Last week my aunt and her three kids were in Boise. Since they live in Texas we don't get to see them very often so we drove to Boise for a visit. We had planned on going camping but my dad ended up having to work on Saturday; so instead we camped in my grandma's backyard. It was fun because all of my family was there. Right before we got there my sister Heather ran into a barbed wire fence on my brother's dirt bike. She ended up spending the night at the ER getting 46 stitches in her arm. Despite this, she still stayed the night and slept in a tent. Brynlee slept fairly well in the tent but she woke up a few times just because it was cold outside.

The next day Joel brought over a four wheeler and the train his dad built. All of the kids loved riding in it. At first we went in the field around grandma's house but it was really bumpy. Instead we went up the road to an empty subdivision with no houses and Joel drove around there. Brynlee didn't want to get out. She even fell asleep in my arms while I was holding her. We did have a neighbor complain and a policeman came out, but he said he didn't have a problem with us riding it. Luckily he was nice. We also roasted marshmallows and hotdogs around the campfire, played lots of games and did a puzzle. It was a great weekend spent with lots of family.

We love Grandpa

My parents were both really excited when they found out they would be grandparents. As soon as my dad found out I was pregnant my dad started singing "The Grandpa Song" to me and he sings it to Brynlee every time she is around him. He made up "The Daddy Song" when I was a baby and he just changed the words for Brynlee. Here is a short video of my dad singing the song to her right after she was born.

Brynlee likes to talk on the phone and last Wednesday Brynlee handed me the phone and clearly said grandpa. I figured she must want to talk to him but he didn't answer. We left him a message and Brynlee said Grandpa on his answering machine. Needless to say my dad called the next day crying, "I just got the best message in the world." I guess the song works because she hasn't said anyone else's name. My dad was really excited and I think he played the message for everyone who would listen. Brynlee has been blessed with several wonderful grandparents and she loves them a lot.
