February 2018

I have been getting super behind with this blog. I have been so tired lately that I am behind with a lot of things. Let's see if we can get caught back up. In February we did all of the normal things like school, I volunteered and helped out in Brynlee's class and Annalyn brought home a bunch of papers from her class that I cut out and helped her teacher with. We went to the library once a week and I went to parenting class and book group. I took the girls to the dentist and no one had any cavities. At least, none that needed any work done. Brynlee had a few little ones that they are going to watch. Summer was super excited for her turn in the dentist chair and went second. She felt pretty big and proud of herself. I was impressed with how well they all did. I went to the doctor to check up on baby and everything looks good.

To start off the month of February I signed Brynlee and Annalyn up for a hip hop dance class that met every Thursday after school. It seemed perfect because both girls could be in the same class and it met close by right after school at one of the nearby elementary schools. While the girls practiced, I took Kyla and Summer out to the playground to play for an hour and everyone had a fun time. Annalyn liked the dance class but for Brynlee the class did not meet her expectations. It was not fast paced and fun enough for her. I think they both would have liked it better with a different teacher but they never complained about going and it gave them an experience and something to do so I am still glad I signed them up. They learned several new moves that they have been teaching us.

For Valentine's day Joel got all the kids a balloon and some candy. They were pretty excited about those balloons. I helped in both kid's parties at school and I brought Kyla and Summer along for Annalyn's party. I volunteered to be in charge of Brynlee's party and we had a fun time playing some games, we did a craft, and ate treats. Joel took me out on a date a few nights later and we had fun eating dinner and hanging out together. The girls helped me make a treat for Joel and we did a little treasure hunt for him to find them. He brought home a heart pizza for dinner on Valentines's Day so we had a fun night enjoying being with all of the people we love.
The girls had a school carnival that I took them to and it was super crowded but the kids had tons of fun. Joel stayed home with Summer while I took the other girls. He did come with me to their school showcase night and the kids both got to show off the dances they learned in PE and then they got to show Joel their classroom. It was the first time this year Joel has gone to their school so they were excited to show him around. There was a daddy daughter dance a few nights later that Joel took all three of the older girls too. I was actually really surprised that he agreed to take the girls to that but it sounds like they all had a blast and Joel was determined that if he was going, he would take all three girls so he could get the most out of his money.

My parent's both had birthdays this month. I went over and helped my mom make my dad's cake and then we got to celebrate my mom's birthday with her a few days later. The girls always get excited about a good party; especially if there is cake involved.
Summer has been lots of trouble lately, as always. She is always finding new ways to get in trouble. We did a few crafts, we had several friends over and babysat for some kids a few times. The kids had two days without school and we had friends over and enjoyed relaxing on those days. It was a busy fun filled month.
